Peer Connect

Peer Connect

Some people in our community are mostly or fully independent but haven’t found the right people yet. This group is for them.

Peer Connect brings together autistic young adults who communicate in similar ways and are looking for genuine connection – without the structure of a formally supported group.

What's the difference between Peer Connect and other Travengers groups?

Travengers Social Groups and Clubs have a support worker present – typically one per three participants – who helps with facilitating connection, managing support needs and any other practical or emotional assistance along the way. Peer Connect has a facilitator who leads the activity, but there is no support worker present. Socialising and day-to-day things are done independently.

You’re welcome to give it a try. That said, if you think some support would help you feel more comfortable at first, our Travengers Social Groups are a great place to start – and Peer Connect will still be here when you’re ready.

When you sign up on our website, you’ll receive a short form to complete. We’ll take a look at your profile and suggest the best starting point for you, then reach out with next steps.
